President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu have congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, praising his years of public service and contributions to Nigeria.
In a birthday message personally signed by him, Tinubu described Kashim Shettima as a trusted ally, valued colleague and patriot whose career had been defined by service and commitment.
The President described the Vice President as his brother and partner in steering the affairs of the country, while congratulating his wife, Nana, children, family and political associates on the milestone.
Tinubu highlighted Shettima’s background in banking and his subsequent political career as Governor of Borno State and Vice President of Nigeria.
According to the President, Kashim Shettima demonstrated courage, diligence, compassion and a commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians in his various public roles.
Tinubu also commended Shettima’s loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), his support for the administration and his contribution to the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The President particularly praised Shettima’s responsibilities as Chairman of the National Economic Council, saying he had provided leadership in coordinating economic policies and encouraging cooperation between the Federal Government and state governments.
He further noted the Vice President’s respect for constitutional governance, democratic institutions, dialogue and consultation.
Tinubu described Shettima’s loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty as valuable to the administration, while thanking him for his continued support and partnership.
The President expressed confidence that their continued cooperation would contribute to making progress towards building the Nigeria they envision.
He also prayed for divine guidance, protection, wisdom and good health for the Vice President, alongside many more years of purposeful service.
The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, also joined the celebrations, describing Shettima’s 60th birthday as a significant milestone.
She said she was celebrating the occasion alongside his wife, Hajia Nana Shettima, family and friends.
Oluremi Tinubu praised Kashim Shettima for what she described as strength, loyalty, commitment and love for country in his role as Vice President.
She also acknowledged his previous service as Governor of Borno State and senator, as well as his career in banking, describing the different stages of his career as marked by notable achievements.
The First Lady prayed for continued divine health, peace, joy and happiness for the Vice President as he marked the milestone.
