Pastor Jerry Eze, founder of Streams of Joy International and the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), has unveiled a $300,000 grant scheme to support young entrepreneurs across Nigeria, organisers say. The programme was announced in a video message on social media on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
According to Pastor Eze, the grant will be shared among 100 young Nigerians working in agriculture, technology and manufacturing. Each selected beneficiary is expected to receive about $3,000 (roughly ₦1.4 million) to help grow existing ventures or start new businesses.
Eze said the initiative reflects a desire to empower young people and encourage innovation in key parts of the economy. The selection and disbursement process will be managed by an independent organisation to ensure fairness and transparency, he added.
“This is an early insight into a larger plan,” Eze said in the video, describing the announcement as a “teaser” for broader efforts in youth empowerment. He said the programme forms part of the foundation’s wider vision for social and economic impact this year.
Organisers said the focus on agriculture, technology and manufacturing aims to promote job creation, innovation and self-reliance among young Nigerians by helping them turn ideas into sustainable enterprises.
Pastor Eze’s foundation, known as the Jerry Eze Foundation, said it plans to release details of eligibility and application procedures in the coming weeks. Interested entrepreneurs are advised to follow official foundation channels for updates once they are published.
The announcement has generated local interest online, with many praising the initiative as a step toward addressing youth unemployment and supporting Nigeria’s creative and agricultural sectors. Observers say such programmes can help stimulate enterprise growth and provide seed capital for young innovators.
Supporters of the scheme note that smaller business grants improve access to finance for young people, often locked out of traditional credit markets. By providing early-stage funding, the programme could help beneficiaries build stronger businesses and generate jobs in their communities, analysts say.
The Jerry Eze grant programme adds to existing public and private efforts in Nigeria aimed at expanding opportunities for young entrepreneurs and reducing barriers to business entry and growth.
