Tottenham Hotspur forward Randal Kolo Muani and teammate Wilson Odobert were involved in a minor car crash on the M25 motorway as they travelled to the airport for a Champions League fixture, the club’s head coach confirmed. Neither player sustained injuries, according to the manager.
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when the tyre of a vehicle driven by Kolo Muani reportedly blew out.
Images circulating on social media showed the pair standing next to a damaged car before their departure for Eintracht Frankfurt ahead of a midweek Champions League match.
Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank addressed the accident during a pre‑match press briefing, stating that both players are in good condition. He said they were delayed but expected to travel later on Tuesday.
“Kolo Muani and Wilson Odobert are both fine,” Frank said. “Unfortunately, they were both involved in a minor accident.
Everyone else involved in that accident is fine. It was a tyre blowing up, so the two of them are a little bit delayed, but they will land later tonight,” he added.
Frank also said he expected both players to be available for Wednesday’s Champions League game despite the incident.
Reports indicate that Kolo Muani and Odobert were travelling in separate vehicles when the crash occurred. The vehicle carrying the forward sustained damage after the tyre failure, prompting both players to stop at the roadside.
Officials said the crash did not result in major injuries to either footballer. The pair subsequently planned to join Tottenham’s travelling squad later that day as the team prepared to face Eintracht Frankfurt in European competition.
Kolo Muani, a forward on loan to Tottenham Hotspur, has featured regularly for the club since his arrival. His participation in the upcoming Champions League match is significant as Tottenham aims to progress in the competition.
