An Osun State Magistrate’s Court in Osogbo has ordered that three men accused of killing a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer from Ogun State and her 10‑year‑old daughter remain in custody until February 6, 2026.
The three suspects were arraigned before Magistrate O. A. Daramola on Friday in suit number MoS/M‑53/2026. They were accused in connection with the reported killing of an FRSC officer, Lasisi Oluwamayokun, and her daughter, Adesewa. Both victims were alleged to have been murdered at the Ilesa Correctional Centre area in Osun State.
They were remanded on a motion filed by the Osun State Commissioner of Police, who asked the court to keep them in custody while awaiting legal advice from the Ministry of Justice.
In an affidavit dated January 16, 2026, the Investigating Police Officer (IPO), Inspector Babawale Taiwo, said the suspects should stay in custody while the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution reviews the case.
The affidavit states that the younger brother of one suspect, Victor Fajemirokun Emmanuel, reported him missing after he left Osogbo on November 2, 2025, for a prayer meeting at Ikoyi Prayer Mountain. On the same date, the FRSC officer and her daughter were also reported missing.
The affidavit said further investigation suggested that the suspects murdered the officer and her daughter for ritual purposes, dismembered their bodies and disposed of them. It identified Victor Fajemirokun as the alleged mastermind.
Magistrate Daramola ordered that the men be held at the Ilesa Correctional Centre until February 6, 2026, while legal advice is sought from the Director of Public Prosecution.
The burial service for the FRSC officer and her daughter took place on a Friday at St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Ita‑Olookan, Osogbo. The victims had gone missing from their home in Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke‑Mosan, Abeokuta before their deaths were confirmed.
The suspects will remain in custody at the Ilesa Correctional Centre until the next court date on February 6, 2026. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution is expected to advise on formal charges to be filed against them.
