NNPC Reports ₦60.5tn Revenue, ₦5.7tn Profit After Tax in 2025

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has reported that it generated approximately ₦60.52 trillion in revenue and posted a profit after tax of about ₦5.76 trillion for the year 2025, the company said in its financial disclosure.

The figures were published in the company’s 2025 annual financial report released this week, the report said.

NNPC also stated that it remitted about ₦14.706 trillion to government agencies and partners during the period, according to disclosures.

NNPC said crude oil and condensate production averaged around 1.62 million barrels per day over the course of 2025.

In December 2025, the company reported that production averaged 1.54 million barrels per day, following scheduled maintenance and several unplanned outages that affected output.

The company also reported that natural gas supply averaged more than 6.914 billion standard cubic feet per day in December.

In a summary of its performance, NNPC said that downstream operations showed improvement, with petrol availability at Nigerian Refining Limited stations reaching about 65 per cent in December.

It also reported that upstream pipeline systems were operating at 100 per cent availability during the period.

NNPC highlighted progress on key gas infrastructure projects, including completion of mainline welding on the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline and advancement of pilot-hole drilling on the Obiafu-Obrikom gas pipeline.

Figures and project details remain provisional pending final reconciliation with stakeholders, the company said.

The company noted that statutory payments to government agencies and partners totalled about ₦14.706 trillion for 2025, according to its financial statement disclosures. These payments formed part of obligations tied to revenue generation and industry partnerships.
