The Dangote Group has given ₦15 billion to cement distributors across Nigeria as a reward and appreciation package, executives say. The company says the gift aims to recognise distributors’ efforts in moving products and supporting the firm’s reach in the local market.

Mr Devakumar Edwin, Group Executive Director in charge of Cement at Dangote Group, announced the package during a distributors conference held in Lagos on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

He said the company is thankful to its partners for helping achieve sales and market growth. “We are happy with your support, and that is why this reward is being given,” he said.

The ₦15 billion incentive includes cash rewards and other benefits for top‑performing distributors, Edwin said. The package is designed to encourage strong performance, deepen distribution networks and sustain availability of products across Nigeria’s states.

Dangote Group executives noted that the package reflects the company’s commitment to mutually beneficial partnerships with its distributors.

They said the move is intended to reward loyalty, drive growth and enhance cooperation as the economy recovers from disruptions in supply chains and market fluctuations.

The conference brought together key stakeholders in the cement supply chain, including regional distributors and executives from the Dangote Cement Plc leadership. Discussions focused on the future of distribution, market trends, and strategies to improve last‑mile delivery of cement products.

Industry analysts say incentive packages like this can strengthen supply chain relationships and help companies maintain product availability even during periods of economic uncertainty.

Strong distribution networks are seen as critical to ensuring that construction materials reach remote and urban markets efficiently.

Dangote Group’s reward programme comes at a time when the construction sector in Nigeria is active, with demand for cement continuing to support infrastructure and housing projects nationwide.

Distributors said they welcomed the package, noting that it could help offset rising operational costs and motivate higher performance in 2026.

Dangote Group said it will continue to engage distributors in future initiatives that support growth, capacity building and value creation across the cement ecosystem.
