Soludo Tours Schools to Reinforce Monday Resumption Activities

The Governor of Chukwuma Soludo on Monday visited several primary and secondary schools in Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, as part of efforts to reinforce the resumption of academic activities on Mondays.

During the tour, the governor interacted with students and teachers and expressed satisfaction at seeing schools operating normally on a Monday, a day that had previously been affected by disruptions.

According to him, the return of students and teachers to classrooms on Mondays represents progress toward restoring productivity across the state.

He described Monday as an important day of the week that sets the tone for activities in schools and other sectors.

Schools visited during the inspection included Community School, Unique Nursery and Primary School, Unique Secondary School and Central School Primary School.

Others were Holy Child Secondary School, Community Secondary School, Amaorji Primary School, Ikemee Primary School and Model Primary School, all located in Isuofia.

Soludo encouraged students to focus on hard work and integrity, stating that they must be properly developed in all aspects to compete globally.

He also highlighted the state government’s collaboration with mission authorities in managing returned schools.

According to him, while the state government subsidises the schools and supports teachers, the missions provide infrastructure and maintain conducive learning environments.

The governor assured residents that adequate security measures had been put in place and directed school administrators to ensure proper attendance records for students.

He commended teachers for their dedication and resilience, adding that the South-East region should align with global standards that require productivity throughout the five working days of the week.

Soludo added that the resumption of normal Monday activities sends a positive signal to investors and residents that the state is restoring its economic and social life.

The governor reiterated that Anambra remains open for business and continues to make progress in restoring normal daily activities across the state.
