Eko Electricity Distribution Company Plc (EKEDC) has called on its corporate customers to provide updated Tax Identification Numbers (TINs) and associated tax documentation for the purpose of refreshing its customer database and ensuring accurate billing data.
The appeal was made in a statement by the company on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.
The statement said EKEDC was engaging its corporate customers to provide their current TINs, company names, addresses, and other relevant tax information to enable the company to update its records.
The company said the information would be used to strengthen its billing and customer identification process.
EKEDC asked customers to ensure that the details submitted were accurate and matched records held by relevant tax authorities. It also provided contact channels where customers could submit the requested information.
In its communication, the company said maintaining up-to-date customer information is necessary for effective billing and regulatory compliance. The statement did not elaborate on any enforcement measures for customers who did not submit the requested details.
